Our good buddy SleepyC has been working on a Foxtech Glyder 600 pro, and posting build pics along the way! The Glyder 600 takes a unique approach to it's camera platform, in that it uses no motors to keep it steady during flight. Instead, it has a mechanical pendulum style platform, that is counter balanced using the flight pack batteries. Think steady cam with a quad wrapped around it!
So here's what SleepyC had to say, and click the link below to see his build thread with photos and video! Hey guys, We just got in the Glyder 600 Quadcopter aerial video platform and I'm going to be building it over the next few weeks. We are quite busy so I'll go as fast as I can, but in reality it's going to be a little while. The frame is based off of the ECILOP platform, but seems to be quite a bit different in the rest of the design. I will be using the 4x T -motor 2216 KV800 motors, and some Turnigy Plush 25 Amp ESC's. I'm not quite sure on what props we will be running. I am thinking I might try my Hoverfly Sport board on this unit, and use the Planemodel Gyros to handle the gimbal duties. Ok.. check back once in a while for updates! Click here for the build thread!
