The high performance HK-500GT is 3D flight ready.
Much bigger than its smaller 450 brother, the 500GT is an exciting helicopter to see in action and even more exciting to fly. Its 2024 alloy head ensures hard core 3D pilots wont be dissapointed in the performance and the beautifully painted cowl and Titanium anodized components make this a visually stunning helicopter with performance to back it up!
You wont find unecissary or poorly fitting bling alloy components on this heli. Alot of thought has been put into the production of this machine, as seen by the FRN* tail which uses alloy only where its needed; in the arms and partially hidden belt pulley making it lighter with no sacrifice in strength; proving the helis no-bling all-performance attitude.
All parts are 100% compatible with T-Rex 500

A mate of mine bought one of these and hey look quite good and the fact they are fully interchangeable with the trex 500 mean parts are VERY easy to get

I will take a bunch of pictures. But I already have the Align torque tube in it.

I am going over what a customer of mine did and I am taking pictures now it has some issues.
But the issues are from his setup, he didn't know how to set it up.
So, I have some work to do on it.
It has metal everywhere except in two places.
The bottom plate and the tail pitch slider arm. Those are the only two places that I could find plastic.
This kits quality has to be real close to my real T-Rex 500.

I paid 435.00 from my bear bones T-Rex 500, when It first came out.
I realize that I got it cheap then. But my customer paid 150 bucks to the door.
Yes. I got the motor and ESC which cost about 200 bucks new.
But, he bought a cheap motor and ESC from RC Hot deals.com, which coast him 90.00 bucks.
The funny thing is he has more power than mine and his ESC is bigger.
Which says, times have changed. Only time will tell how well this set up will remain to be as good or better than mine.
Be we will see!


But if you go to Xheli.com, you can see the great pictures they took of this bird.
The HK-500GT is 70 + shipping bucks and doesn't come with all the metal parts as the EXI 500CF, which is 150 bucks to the door.
But looking at both of them, I would say that if your budget is low.
Than both of these birds will do you fine.
You can get away with getting either one ready for flight on either web site.
I would recommend, either of these two kits. For some who wants to make the next step up from their 450 size helicopter!
I can say the the EXI is a 100% compatible with my T-Rex 500.
The only thing negative I can say about the EXI 500CF is some of the bolts are a mixture of metric and standard.

Saw one of these stock out of the box tonite..I am amazed! Just amazed..It flew very solid.

The owner was going for "cheap" and he used a typhoon motor, and tower pro digitals with a futaba 410.

The thing was solid and smooth..

I know what I am getting the next time I have a few extra bucks!

i keep looking at one of these as my next heli, the shipping seems quite high though. how much bigger are they compared to a 450 size, does anyone a pic of a 450 next to a 500 size heli.

600GT, 450Pro & 700GT Heli's too arrive soon. 11/12/2009
Our HK-600GT all alloy/CF helicopter will be arriving at around the 10th of January. The 450Pro is based on the Align 450 Pro and will be available mid January. Also we have a 700GT helicopter in production now and the expected release date is around April 2010.
We will be introducing a new range of high performance heli motors specifically designed for our 450, 500 and 600 size heli's. Thes have an estimated release date of late February.
