Default 2009 opens a new chapter for the JOE NALL Fly-in

Triple Tree Aerodrome and Crackroll.com make history at the 2009 JOE NALL!

For anyone that has never been to a "Joe Nall" at the Triple Tree Aerodrome in Woodruff South Carolina , let me try to explain the event and the location.

Use your mind and imagine what you think to be the perfect flying field. Got it?
Ok.. keep that thought in your head.
Now... imagine your dream field again, but this time imagine it ten times better. Imagine yards and yards of velvety soft putting green grass, wonderful camping facilities with real hot water and wonderful showers. Imagine real restrooms that are clean and well taken care of. Add to this image a beautiful lake, two gazebos, a WWII Flight Tower and ten thousand of the friendliest people you will ever meet. This is but a small taste of what Joe Nall and the Triple Tree Aerodrome is like.

Joe Nall is so special that pilots from all over the world take the yearly pilgrimage to these hallowed grounds. Some spend thousands of dollars shipping their models half-way around the world to spend a week in the sun flying and celebrating RC flight. Historically the Joe Nall has been known as a Giant Scale Aircraft fly-in.

UNTIL NOW.

(I am SO excited to announce this!)

This year, Triple Tree in association with Crackroll.com is opening up the Joe Nall to HELICOPTERS!

(Just in case the guys in the back didn't hear me....)
THIS YEAR, TRIPLE TREE IN ASSOCIATION WITH CRACKROLL.COM IS OPENING UP THE JOE NALL TO HELICOPTERS!!!

3D, Sport, Scale, Electric, Glow, Gas bring them all!

The grounds at Triple Tree are huge and the staff at Triple Tree has reserved an entire flight line for us, and it will be known as the "Crackroll.com Heli flight line" . The CR flight line will consist of eight 200'x 200' flight boxes for all of you helicopter pilots to tear up the sky. (The Crackroll.com flight line must be 2.4ghz only so please keep this in mind)

So make your plans, get the vacation days set and come on down to the "Joe Nall" and be a part of HELICOPTER HISTORY!!!

The official dates for "Joe Nall" this year are, May 13,14,15 and 16, 2009.

We will continue to update you guys with any new information, so please check back often.

All of us here at Crackroll.com are very excited about this news, and would like to thank the Confederate Air Farce, Triple Tree Aerodrome, and Mr. Pat Hartness for allowing us to be a part of this historical event.

We will see ALL of you guys THERE!

Attached in the next post you will find the official announcement from Triple Tree, as well as pre-registration forms, and the liability waiver.

Also, if you have a company and would like to be one of the first Helicopter vendors on "Joe Nall Vendors row", please email Mike LeTourneau .

Wow! Just when I thought Joe Nall couldn't get any better - it does! This is gonna be great, giant scale airplanes on one flight line (or two!) and heli's on another. Is it here yet?

Does this mean you don't have to be an IMAA member any longer to fly at the Joe Nall?

What to do when it is cold and wet outside. Go fly micro electrics in the Tripple Tree Hanger. Their is nothing better than doing a little flying in the middle of winter. But let us not stop their. We think it would be a lot of fun to do this at the Nall after dark. Roll the planes out of the hanger and close the doors and let the swarm begin. No flyswatters please. Planes 1/2 oz. and smaller and helicopters 1 oz. and smaller requested.

It's coming today.
My wife's 40th birthday party and Valentines day was yesterday... had to do a party and actually be there.
Believe it or not... I actually do need to spend a FEW hours with my "Other" family.. once in a while.

This is great news for those of us who fly helis! A few friends and I are already set to attend for the full week to fly planks but my first love is helis and having our own flight line is perfect! A big thanks to whoever pushed this through!

I'm going to be attending the Corpus Christi FF this coming weekend and I will spread the word and talk to Ron, Curtis and some of the others about attending Nall this year.

this is pretty cool news. If it wasn't for SEFF, I wouldn't mind getting to it...
