How do I know if a servo will work?
Hello everyone, I love your site. Thanks for all the wonderful info!
I have what may seem to be a stupid question: How do I know if a servo from a specific manufacturer and model number will work with a specific heli? For instance I am looking at a spectrum DX7 kit with DS821 servos but I am not sure how to tell if that would fit in a TRex 450 SE. Are the servos rated by size? If so how does the sizing / matching work for servos and helis? Thank you for any assistance! Brian |

Welcome!
The DS821 servo is a standard sized servo, the TRex 450 uses micro/mini servos such as the Hitec HS-65MG. You might want to consider getting the DX7 without any servos, and purchase the servos seperately. http://www.hitecrcd.com/servos/show?name=HS-65MG |

If you go the manufacturers website, they should have the dimensions listed also.
