Default My solution for helicopter storage.

After searching and coming up with very few ideas for hanging with the exception of the wire shelves which just did not appeal to me, I built one that looks pretty good and is fairly inexpensive.

All you need is a board ½ x 4 x 48, I used hardwood for strength . 2 wooden cupboard pull knobs for spacers and a couple anchors. Apply paint of your liking and your done.

I have no problem with storing the 450 size birds, it's the 30 scale and 60 size one's that take too much space. Not usre the landing gear will be strong enough to handle those sizes. Got any ideas for those? I'm thinking about hanging them in the garage using a pulley system so they are out of the way.

I have had six birds on it including a trex 600e with no problem. Have not had any issues with their skids not holding.

AUGHHH!! Heli's hanging in a garage!!! Blasphemy.
I store mine in cabinets in my laundry/hobby room. Wife hates it because it takes up perfectly good cabinet space, but nothing can fall on them or get kicked etc. since they are in the cabinet.

I raided the trash after HeliFun 2009 and scored someone's slightly trashed CY 700 blade. Mounted it to the wall with a 1/2" spacer behind it and hung the heli's from it. It had no problem supporting my Pantera 50, and now it is carrying my Mini Titan and mSR.
