I broke my boom on the Nano and the only one I had left was an Mcpx boom which is a bit longer than stock. I put it on and it flys ok but I have a slight tail wag now. I am thinking the longer boom improved the tail authority a bit and now the gain may be a bit high. Has anyone else tried the Mcpx boom on the Nano and if so were there any problems and secondly does anyone know of a way to adjust the tail gain on the Nano or is it fixed from the factory.

Cromer does the nano have the servo shutter problem like the mCPx? I am going to buy one when the wife is in the right mood but I was hoping it wouldn't have this problem.

It is not quite as bad as the Mcpx but it is there a little bit, at least on mine. If you clean the servos on occasion it is very negligable.

And the power is more than the mCPx so it is easier to manage indoors? I do fly my mcpx inside but it is a handful when doing flips.

I would not say it is much more powerful but the tail holds much better which makes it easier to fly. The only thing that takes getting used to is that it is so small. It can get twitchy for sure but after some time with it it will start to grow on you for sure.

One of the guys I fly with put all the metal upgrades from Rakonheli on his Nano and I have to admit that they not only make it look nice but they do seem to tighten the head up quite a bit. I just can't seem to justify the expense though. I try to remember that these little guys are what they are and try not to expect more from them than what they were designed to give. That being said, I will not shy away from spending the cash if I deem an upgrade worthy. I am going to keep an eye on that blinged out Nano and if those head pieces hold up and make a difference in flight they may be going on mine.

Would be great to see some photos of the upgraded head if you can get them.
