Default Futaba CGY750 new software released!

Hi Guys, after a long wait we have just posted the newest software update for the CGY750.

Improvements (not all inclusive):
• Simplified set up- Simplified configuration and setup routine making set up much faster.
• Less time fine tuning your setup- No longer necessary to tune numerous parameters to achieve the performance you desire.
• Revised instruction update- clarified update instructions include tuning notes.
• Pole (phase) sensor support- Provides brushless sensor support for the CGY750 Governor when used with electric-powered helicopters.
Note: The Hobbywing Brushless Sensor is currently supported

• Improved flight performance:
o New algorithms allowing higher cyclic gains resulting in better control over the model.
o Dramatic improvement in rate control and consistency between stationary and fast forward flight.
o Collective to cyclic interaction is virtually eliminated.
o Piro compensation is improved to provide flat pirouettes while stationary or traveling.
o Greater hovering stability

If you are going to be the Orlando Heli Blowout, I'll be happy to update your CGY750 there.

Hi guys, we just posted a minor bug fix to version 1.3 of the software. It was found that that a write error can happen when transferring parameter data from a PC to the CGY750. Additionally the rudder trim data was not always memorized correctly.

Version 1.31 is available for download at: http://www.futabarc.com/software-updates.html

It's great to see how many of you are enjoying the new software. If you are running electric you have to try the phase sensor to use the CGY750 as a governor. It REALLY works well. The headspeed on my own machine is exactly the speed I input into my transmitter, even during a fairly hard climb out.

Opps guys, we accidently posted the revision to the software that we use to update our stock. This only works with a special CIU-2. Do not download this version and attempt to install, the correct version will be up tomorrow.

Guys, the bug fix 1.31 has been re-posted and is available for download. This is not going to change any of your settings or anything else. Just the two small fixes that I and Ben have both mentioned. Download the Special Note on 1.31 also which is just a reiteration of this fact.

Default CGY750 Update

Well I finally had the chance to fly today my newly updated CGY750 on my N5C. Wow! What a difference. The stock settings worked perfectly. This thing is now rock solid. My normal mode head speed is 1950 and I have no bobbles at all. Feels really locked in. High speed passes offered no surprises and the tail is solid. I do need to tame my tail down a bit though. Getting almost 720 Degrees per second!

If anyone knows of someone looking to part with a CGY750 send them my way. My E5 stretched needs a unit!

Cheers
Alan

Great to hear Alan, we hope you continue to enjoy it. Good luck finding a used one, all used ones seemed to disappear as soon as the new software came out.

I had a feeling you'd like it Alan! I'm enjoying mine so much, that I pulled the GT5 off of my mini titan and put a CGY on there.

Sounds like a plan. I really have not had much luck getting the GT5 on my miniT to feel right. I'll probably be watching the sales post Christmas and New Years. I wouldn't mind finding a deal on another CGY.

I also am looking for a CGY750 so get in line, the new software has promoted the oldies to stay home.

The best deal I could find (new) was from Tower. $259.98 and free shipping.

That's a pretty good price for one NIB...

Yes the Tower super saver club sends out discount codes. Sometimes 15% off. And that's with free shipping.
