Default novus cx any ideas

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum and to RCing. Need a little advice, i bought a Novus CX ( i know better now) and the first one went bad ( board) the secnd lost a gear that operates the left and right. The first one my LHS replaced the second manufacturer replaced. I got the third in took it home charged battery up. Went to lift off and it did the shimmy shimmy coco pop on the floor. Had to really gas it hard to get it off the floor. It seems very unblanced and has the twitches like the power is breaking down for a mili second and sometime the top blades will actually stop working. Trying to get into this hobby but this is making it real hard. Also the issues on the third heli was all on the first battery charge.

Hey jrock,

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having, try not to let it discourage you from getting into this hobby. I'm actually real close to you in Oak Ridge, and would be glad to take a look at it sometime for you.

The Novus CX's that I've flown have been a lot of fun, not sure what the twitches are about but we should be able to sort it out.

Nice to see someone local on here. Thanks for the offer, but i am going to try this one more time. I called heli-max and the guy requested i send this one back and he is going to personally check it out. I will let you know how it turns out. From reading the other post i can see i do need to invest in spare motors though.

I hate to muddy the waters for you but I'm partial to the e-flite line of helis. I've owned five different models and have loved them all. They fly well. It sounds like maybe it might be worth jumping ship and trying a different brand.

The novus is a nice looking heli. I'm tempted to get their new 125 cp, but all I have to offer is the experience that I have with the e-flite line and it's good.
