in case you have not seen this yet. I originally found it in a thread Bert started on HF. Since this is the 3D section, I wanted to post here for everyone's enjoyment. Listen to the motor, it sounds insanely fast. I guess the head is at close to 5000 RPM!!! that's what Bert said in the HF thread.

Is that the same Bert that flies at the field in LA? That's his flying style but I can't tell if its him in the video cause its too small and you can't really see his face.

It's him. The original video file is also posted on Bert's site... http://www.bertrc.com

I don't think its him. I'm thinking of the Bert that flies at the Van Nuys field in Los Angeles.

Thats some nice flying in the previous post.
I tell you what, I have never seen a heli do 3d so quickly as the gaui in the first post. It's like he is in fast forward.

Now that you mentioned it, I went back and watched the gaui video again. And honestly I think it IS in fast forward. I don't remember it being that fast when I watched it the first time. The only way I can think of for that to not be in fast forward would be because its a 200 size 3D heli making it very light with minimal mass to throw around in the maneuvers. But then again the roll rate of a heli can only be so fast not to mention its moving so fast in the video that I can't even keep my eyes locked on it. Something's not right

with 5000 ish rpm headspeed and Bert at the sticks, I have no doubt the gaui can perform just like we saw in the vid. I have seen him throw some larger helis around almost like that, just waiting for the head to explode the cyclic is so fast.

About a year or 2 ago I was standing next to Bert Magbanua while he was flying the Mini Raptor Titan and and all of a sudden it just balled up in mid-air and fell to the ground. It was the strangest thing I had ever seen. We picked it up and looked at it and it was just this mangled mess. I think he said something in the tail failed and that's why it did it.

sometimes the belt could slip out of the bearing and caught on something, that sucks

No doubt, it's almost robotic, like the run was pre programmed into the heli and someone clicked go!
