Hi just bought an ARTF kit and got the Heli ready... Now, I do have another Copter/X 450 SE... what I found is that the blades rotate differently in each the SE is counter clockwise while the AE is clockwise... If I turn the polarity in the AE speed controller, it just does not work, the lower gear does not work. Which is the correct turn of the blades??

I'm not too familiar with copterx, but I find it hard to believe that they would change the rotor direction from one model to another. Can you post up a couple of photos so we can see what you have going on?

Chris, I talked to a mate of mine and he told me that actually with time the designed was changed propeller was changed to clockwise...

I got the AE swash plate working fine and the blades balanced. My problem is the tail... When I increase speed (to 1/8), and put the rotor on neutral, the tail starts shaking madly. I move the rotor control left or right and quits shaking. I tried moving the tail servo forward and backwards but the shaking continues. I have not changed the Gyro settings, they are as they came from factory.

You can try reducing the gyro gain until the shaking stops....

Thank you Chris!!!! That did the trick... I have the Espektrum DX7 Tx and fixed that right away... Let's see how it goes flying ... I tuned up this Heli a lot better than my other one... I guess I'm gonna have to jump to the other one and try to do the same...

Hi Chris,

Found another problem... I was resetting my Copter/X 450SE and found something was not right in the swash plate... the attitude of the controls is not correct (or I'm in drugs). As I previously said, have not flied it for almost 6 months.

The swash plate hardly moves forward or backwards, the elevator is pitch forward a bit, but when I move the control stick forward it goes up a bit (elevator and ailerons), what is curious is that when the stick is moved forward the attitude of the heli is to pitch backwards, instead of forward... there is something I have set up wrong as it looks like the controls are reversed... I checked the other 450AE and the attitude is correct, on flying and standing. The settings in the Tx are the same, so it could be in the receiver or the servos are not getting the signal properly. Don't know...

Any ideas???

Thank you

It's tough to say, but I would start by making sure your servos are all plugged into the correct channels on the receiver. Once that is, done, make sure the servo reverse is set correctly. You can check to make sure your swash configuration is set correctly on your transmitter too. I don't know exactly how similar the two helis are that you have, but it is possible that the setup that works on one may not work on the other....
