That was Aurora, IL. We are actually a different town that happens to lie (big mystery)...north of Aurora. There didn't seem to be any resemblance of Aurora, IL anywhere in that movie.

I had one little "unpublished feature" on my Dx7: when you set failsafe, especially for an electric, you need the throttle AND TRIM all the way down when you bind. Just a little FYI.

Oh, yeah, it feels a little different than a Futaba, the vertical trims are 1/4" closer to the stick, so when you are trimming, you could get lost and hit the switch. Don't ask me how I know. Some don't like the "fall forward" CG of the stock clip on the Spektrum and get a little aluminum bracket that wraps around & over the switch to put the clip on CG so the Tx hangs level on the strap. It also blocks errant fingers trying to find the Futaba trims.......!:D

Some are finding that they don't get a range check unless 6ft off of the ground. I have 5 Rx, and 3 have 23 pace range checks unless elevated. Many flights since, AOK for me, but a little disconcerting at first. The radio guys over at RCGROUPS helped me thru all of this. Search Spektrum Range Check 6100E

Posts 1072 to 1080 cover it well- its called the Fresnel effect.
Bottom line is a radio that Spektrum will return as AOK may not go 30 paces unless Rx is elevated above the ground.

PS Don't get me wrong, asside from these little details, its a GREAT radio. No more hits- 72Mhz has been getting pretty bad at our club. WE have frequency control, but somone has been hitting my channel.

Wow, 40 years! I've got 20 in on airplanes. I think you made a wise choice with the CX2. My buddy has one of those and it has taught him alot. I probably should have gone with one of those also, but since I had some stick time on a Concept 30, I jumped ahead and went with the Blade 400 (progessing along nicely). You should join up with the Kishwaukee (?) club out there. The same friend, who lives in Cortland, is with them. During the winter they fly in a gym--there are a bunch of CX2s flying, also ParkZone Citabrias and Cessnas.

Oh, please let the lady go. Or at least the radio...

Thanks for the response Magic. I had the Kyosho/ Parkzone Cessna and loved it but I just got really tired of planes. Also as I work a mix of days nights holidays and weekends the weather seldom co-operated. Even the CX2 is a really nice challenge. ( already replaced a blade and flybar ( grin)). Been practicing in my living room.

The radio and lady are yours. At 19 spent my time trying to get women. At 51 spending it trying to get rid of them LOL.
