OK, I finally gave in to the pressure and got my first Heli!! I've been flying airplanes for quite a long time and really enjoy low 3D stuff with everything from Electric to 50cc birds. I do not fly anything glow powered (anymore) and am not interested in going back to that. I've been flying different Heli's on the sim for several years and have buddy boxed with people several times. Even did some loops and rolls on my first buddy box.

Now, I got myself a Blade 450 3D, BNF. I have a JR x9303 and plan to upgrade to the X11 next year. Now I realize that I have no idea where to start programming this bird beyond the BNF part. I will work with the two better guy's at my club, but wanted to see if anyone here had some tips on setup on this radio for a similar bird? Any tips are welcome.

Thanks!!

It's been a while since I programmed a 9303, but the first thing is to make sure you're in helicopter mode and to select your swash as 120 degree ccpm. Then its just a case of making sure each channel corresponds to the correct servo, and then making sure that mechanically everything looks square.

The guys you mentioned will be able to guide you better, it definitely is a good idea to have experienced eyes look over your work. Let us know how you get on!

Any ideas on setting up throttle hold? I use a throttle to throttle mix for idle up on my gas planes, I assume it would be similar??

You should have a built in throttle hold feature in helicopter mode, no need for mixes.
