Hi I've had a 4#3 since the early stages and now have a 4#3B and enjoy this size class greatly. Walkera has been "going to release" a CP version hopefully by Christmas or at least soon after. Its a touch larger and should be capable of mild 3d over the cofee table.:D

Please provide links and info as it becomes available on what hopefully will be as great as the 4#3.

Link to an RCGroups post saying that they should be released in 2 or 3 months, so maybe before Christmas! :)

I just thought I'd stroll back in here casually and post a link to the first actual vid of this heli!

It exists.

Can't wait till its released!

In a David Attenborough style voice:

Here is the mythical creature. Its species is currently unknown. It may be part of the amoeba family as it is so tiny and looks like it runs on one cell.:D

Cool !

LOL, even this experienced pilot is flying the heli OUTSIDE though ... (maybe because this is the only one that exists :) )

Probably not a beginner-first-heli though I guess ;)

Walkera has to have one of the more confusing illogical product numbering schemes though, unlike the fairly simple Trex4x..7x scheme

I agree it is a little confusing, but could you please enlighten me as to what the numbers in TRex names actually refer to? ;)

For electric's originally te numbers were based on the (brushed) motor size back in the day. Nowadays folks rate size based on the blade length. I think Align still uses the motor size for their naming convention.

For fuel helis the number is still based on the engine size.

And Walkera's numbering system is unique to say the least. Only uniformity I can see is the "B" seems to stand for bling!:D

This time indoor. Better performance is apparant. Better heli or pilot I don't know.

Not sure, but I know that a Trex600 is physically bigger than a 450 :D

And since 600 > 450, there is some logic there.

It seems like Walkera's product numbers are decreasing with every new release, soon they'll be number them with negative numbers

Wow !

Best 3d-Heli-aerobatics-in-a-confined-space video I've seen !

Might be my next heli (first 3d one !)

I agree that the Walkera naming system is totally confusing and seems inconsistent. IMHO, helis should be named according to the rotor diameter, since that is a good measure of a heli size. It gives an idea of the all up weight of the heli (since you should be within a certain range of disc loading to have decent performance). Motor size isn't the best since you can have different power motors in the same size and therefore different sized helis using the same sized motor. SJM seem to have started naming their helis according to individual blade length, but even this isn't ideal since you don't know the head width and therefore the rotor diameter.

By the way, 4G3's are now available on pre-order from some stores! :D

This heli is out a a few different shops, and some folks already have theirs, and are modding it. A guy even did full brushless (main and tail) seperates on it. All of this is at RCG.

I have had the 4-3 and the 4-3b, i love them both, the concern that I have is the motors, I'm sure in no time there will be a brushless conversion for this one as well. Debating if I am going to get this one as fast as the other two lol
