Hi all, I got about 17 hours on my CX2 and had it trimmed out to the point it can hover thumbs off. Now all of a sudden it's going in circles when I try to hover. Picture it like this, it's like the chopper is hanging on a string and with tail in (because i'm new at this) it begins to swing in circles. I did have a bad swash plate so I replaced it with the aluminum upgrade. It only made a small difference and there is NO play in anything else. Any ideas of what the problem is, thanks...

Make sure you flybar moves freely.
Make sure the flybar is not too loose.
Make sure your flybar is not bent or unbalanced.
Make sure the collar under the swashplate is all the way down and tight.
If you have a 2 piece flybar hub, make sure its not partly separated.
Make sure one of the blade pins (the pins that stick out of the upper and lower hubs) isnt broken. Sometimes they can break and you might not even notic it!
Look closely at the upper bearing holder, the one between the two sets of blades, sometimes the plastic cup that holds the bearing goes out of round. If this is the case, you need to replace it, there are aluminum parts available to replace this part.
If all else fails, try replacing your blades one by one,
Carl

I'm thinking its your blades. Do you balance them? You would be suprised how much that makes a difference. There are numbers stamped on the blades but that don't always mean they are balanced.I used to just "slap' them on and go.Now I balance them and use scotch tape for counterweight. Sometimes they will also get warped. If they do just boil them for about 15 seconds in steaming hot water. Got that advice on you-tube.

Hi all, thanks for all your help my CX2 is back from the TBE grim reaper! The problem was when I replaced the blades I didn't balance them, I didn't know I had to but now I know better! Also the flybar was out of balance so I tweaked it in and away I go!
Thanks again and I'll see you on the flight line....... :D
