A different kind of heli, but fun nonetheless :D

Nice to fly something that just humms around. Flying just feels smooooth. Nothing like my 450 with china-carbon blades that will track within an inch :blockhead:

Anyways its made by LaHeli, a company in the Czech Republic. Usually kit (includes everything cept reciever and battery) runs from 400-500, depending on if its carbon fiber frame or some fiberglass frame. I picked up a used carbon fiber for 175 shipped, it was a steal! Flies on the 120 degree CCPM concept, but uses a special gyro mixing board to stabilize it. I usually take tons of pictures of my gear but this thing has been so much fun I've been forgetting to snap a few at it :D

No video yet, but more pictures. I think the CF dome looks weird (too large in diameter for something like this), so I leave it off for flying.

Compared to my T-Rex 450, it feels more stable. All the movements are flowing, unlike the 450 which is a little jerky. I cant really describe it well but its more fun than the T-Rex  I would say hovering is harder than the 450, but once you get into FF everything is perfect :D 5:30 of flying time gets the battery down to 11.3 volts on the charger, I would get more but my soldering/wiring isnt the best.

Interesting setup, what is that one servo on the back for? Does it rotate the whole boom?

The boom with the big gold fin is the rear of the Y-UFO. The HS-65mg rotates that entire boom, which rotates the motor, which angles the thrust. That angle makes it spin.

Video! But I must fire my cameraman ;)

I've seen those on a few sites and have wondered how they were to fly. They look really cool!

That's a fun lookin flyer. Is it difficult to keep orientation at a distance?
