Hi all
Hope i am in the right forum
I have had the DX6i and Blade 400 for a while now (AR6100 RX v1.6) no issues of note
Recently bought a Trex 450 Pro, using an AR6100E RX, set up a new model in the DX6i and had some test flights yesterday ( no problems).
Went out this morning and the Blade 400 seemed to arm but when i applied some throttle it shut down after 5 secs or so, started to spool up but then shut down ?
So then switched models to Trex, it armed and flew fine, then back to the 400 and same deal.
Question i have is : I dont have to bind every time i switch helis do i ?
Any ideas whats going on here ???

Did you change models in the transmitter? In other words, did you click the scroller with the radio on, and go into model select and select a different model when you set up your T-Rex?
All Spektrum and JR radios have "Model Match" which only allows one airplane or heli to be bound to a single model in the radio. In other words, you can fly 10 different models with the 6i, they just have to be on different model numbers in the radio. Hope this makes sense.
So if you bound your T-Rex to your B400 program, your B400 will no longer bind to that model since the transmitter recognizes the T-Rex receiver as the receiver for that particular model in the transmitter.
Heres more info from the JR site (note that this refers to the 12X, but still same basic info):
"Exclusive patented ModelMatch™ technology to prevent “wrong model syndrome,” plus a 50-model memory.
Here’s how ModelMatch works: If you’re operating on 2.4GHz and your transmitter doesn’t “recognize” your model as the selected model when your airborne system is turned on, there’ll be absolutely no control response. You’ll be alerted that something’s wrong and a costly crash may be averted.*"
Hope this helps,
Seth
