Hello,
I'm finally going to purchase my 500 kit, I've been waiting 3 months for this!
I'm curious, is there a big difference (other than $$) between the flybarless one and the normal one?

Big difference in the way FB and FBL flies. Once I tried the V-Bar FBL system, I've installed it on all my helis. But you do have to get used to it if your coming for FB.

Can you describe the 'difference' in flying? Also is there a noticiable change in battery life with FBL??

I've installed a V-Bar not a 3G, fly 30 seconds longer using less batteries. When FBL is well set up heli, to me, flies smoother. It only does what you input it to do, should piro with correction, same with loops and rolls, give it full pitch will climb straight up also without correction. You will feel it funny at first lift off, because with FB you correct it's lift off and I'm sure you don't even know you are doing it, well with FBL no need for correction here either. Since I've flowned FBL on my Logo 500Se, sold my T-Rex 600 and bought a Logo 600 and installed V-bar on both my Trex 500 and Trex 450pro.
