Is it an older 4#3 (like my avatar), a 4#3A or a 4#3B? The original 4#3 had some small issues (sloppy swash, CofG too far back, etc.) which are addressed by the 4#3A and 4#3B pretty nicely. The newer ones will fly pretty well out of the box unless something was moved out of place in transit. For the 4#3B you may want to use some small pieces of plastic electrical tape as shims on the main blades since the gap in the blade grips is just a tad too big. Apparently the 4#3A with its plastic blade grips doesn't need this.

You may want to order a couple of spare main motors as they can burn out pretty quickly (the brushes wear out). This is relative, however. I have had my 4#3 since January and am only on my second main motor.

A nice little mod which increases the stability is to add a little positive pitch to the flybar paddles. With the 4#3B the flybar has notches in to align the shaft with the holder and the paddles with the shaft. To get a little pitch in the paddles you need to undo all the screws and twist the flybar 90 degrees so the notches are no longer where the screws go. Then just give the paddles about 5 degrees pitch before tightening the screws.

You may also want to protect the tail motor wires with some electrical tape or other means. they can break easily when they hit something.

Otherwise, just check that everything looks even and straight and have fun!

If you are interested in extreme mods / abuse you may like to check what horrendous things I have done to my 4#3 in the name of curiousity over at RCGroups: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=860591

Still a work in progress...

In that case you're going to want to use a tiny drop of CA or blue Loctite on the swash ball to hold it in place on the main shaft. You want the flybar to pivot very freely. The little brass bushes which keep the flybar holder in place sometimes work themselves loose, too, so it is worth using a drop of CA on each of those, too.

Have you recieved your 4#3 yet? If yes, what do you think? Very resilient little heli this. Coz its so light, it doesn't get damaged when you mess up!

I think you could get the 4#3b parts to fit?? I know some of the parts are interchangeable, but I'm not sure which ones they are?

Yup, you can swap the rotor head by changing the whole shaft assembly. Done it on my 4#3. TTerence at ChineseJade sells a conversion kit: http://www.chinesejade.com/walkera4_3_A_B.htm
