Hi all!
Does anyone have a Gaui EP200? Still doing research, and this looks like a good micro heli. Can anyone assist with what this machine is like to fly? I am getting something more basic (not sure what yet, but a fixed pitch heli) to start with, then want to upgrade to the EP200. Suppose I will have to see how it goes first, before considering another heli!

Saw one at my LHS - I am used to a FP and my King II, so all I can say is "It's tiny!". Looks fragile, but haven't seen it fly except in a video

I have one. It fly's nice. For a first CP helicopter I would not recomend it. Small adjustment errors make it harder to fly. When well setup it is as easy to fly as most any other CP helicopter. If you want to fly in a small area this is a great helicopter. Holds up fairly well in crashes. For most crashes I have had no damage. Once I had to change the blade grip bolts (this crash put a nick in a rotor blade). And once I cracked a tail boom stiffeners, link end. Parts are fairly cheap.

Awesome little heli but trickier to set up than a 300, 450 class due to the size of the parts. Ive found it to be resilient in small crashes and impressive in heavier impacts. Heres a pic after a recent grounding from 30 feet up after orientation loss going inverted. These are nice helis and I've found the trick is to be careful with your "nice" ones and practice moves your not so comfortable with on a plastic head cheaper heli. I will prob make one with a Guruz 300 size frame and King 2, compy parts.
Anyway crash reqd boom, canopy, tail link, mainshaft, blade grip screws, and spindle shaft and a few hrs set up again. Cost $30 odd bucks.

I've have one. I converted mine from an EP100 with the upgrade parts that were available before the Hurricane EP200 was released.

I had one and was fairly fun, however, they don't like high winds:(

I just got mine, only had a couple flights so far, gotta say with the Zpower 5150 in it this thing has some POP. Gotta get the Gyro dialed in, but she looks to be much fun to fly.

LOL, i wish i had each of those helis. I have the gaui 200v1 and love it. My nephew has a V2 and he loves it also. They are really nice little helis and they fly extremely well when setup right.

I probably won't be giving mine up anytime soon. Even though that Justin Chi video is mighty discouraging for me. I just have to keep reminding myself, he's a prodigy, he's a prodigy, he's a...
I wish they'd sell some mixing arms that are tougher or beefier. These things are tough to swallow at $17 a pair. (Or maybe I could just quit running it into the ground). And now, even worse, I see that RCDumbThumbs has got black anodized parts....
I put the Scorpion 2208 4660kv motor and a CC25 Phoenix in it and it seems to run really smooth with lots of power! :)

find small.planes on RCG, or HF and he will make a custom set of mixing arms for you that are indestructible. I have a set and they are GREAT!!!

Thanks nexgen, I'll look him up! :)
Had the bell-crank to the tail slider break in flight yesterday. Piro'd to the ground from about 30-40 ft up. Hit TH and it looks like that's the only thing broken! One tough little bird! Guys at the field commented on expecting to see pieces and instead I come back with not even the main shaft bent! :D

yup, they're tough little birds. and they can perform as good as the big boys.
Speaking of piros, heres an old vid I did testing a really high piro rate on my heli with the g401b gyro.
