nope. I have some tips to make the HDX450 VERY lively. Im not talking newby twitchy either :D
Get on the Helidirect web site, order the Sonix Mini Titan cnc upper mixing levers, and the Sonix Mini Titan CNC swash, and a set of Align 450SE washout levers.
The washout levers need to be changed, as they contact the swash and pop off at extreme cyclic angles, been there done that.
The upper mixing levers give more cyclic range, not more pitch. I already had 12deg of blade pitch, and now I can get up to 9 deg cyclic pitch if I want it. Not nescessary though, I have it set at 8.
The swash reduces some cyclic interaction. The stock swash inner and outer balls are on different levels, the replacement they are all in line. It does make a difference.
I like mine to flip and roll ASAP yesterday fast, so I have put on the Helidirect carbon paddles. They only weigh 2g each.
Ive tried most other paddles, and nothing comes close to the speed of these bad boys.
Best blades Ive used so far are the SWE 325mm. I like them better than Radix and SAB. Bonus is their cheaper too.
They track just as well, they are just as snappy, but they dont feel twitchy, all this without losing any responsiveness.
Scorpion 2221-8 motor on 13t.
Instant 3d machine. Sounds like a lot to do, but its not, and it doesnt cost much at all.
Im doing aileron and elevator tic tocs, flips, rolls, loops, inverted hovering and funnels.
Handles it all very very well. And I cant seem to break the frame , which is excellent :D

I have had several of them in the past. They are really nice helicopters and for the price cannot be beat. I tried a 4S conversion on one once using a lower kv Scorpion HK2221 motor. I forgot which model I used. While it had decent power and lower amp draw (compared to 3s) it just wasn't performing to my standards. I assume a little highr kv motor would of worked better but I didn't feel like buying another one. I put the stock motor back in the helicopter and tried it on a 4S 1800mah lipo with an 11t pinion...WOW! The performance I got out of that set-up was amazing. The helicopter became un-bogable while the amp draw was still less then a 3S set-up. The motor also didn't get very hot considering the headspeed that I was running it at. The included motor works very well and only makes a great helicopter better:)
