Hello gentlemen, first post here and great looking site. Since its based off of FG, its gotta be a great group of people!!

Thought I would share our upcoming event in September.

Our website is: http://mtpleasantrc.com/node/37

Here is all that will happen and is written by one of our club members that is doing a great job promoting our event:

"The Southern Rotary Classic three day helicopter event & World Class 3D Exibition in Mt. Pleasant Texas will be held Sept. 19-21, 2008

We had a speculator event last year and things are off and running for another HUGE event this year as well. Therefore I am posting the dates for the event so if anyone needs to plan time for their vacation they can do so.

Most of the well known pilots that were here last year have indicated they will return. We already have confirmation from the following pilots that have said they plan to come.

Bobby Watts
Bert Kammerer
Jason Krause
Daniel Jetschin
Curtis Youngblood
Alan Szabo Jr.
Matt Botos
Carl & Tyler Bonta
Gary Travis
Darrell Bell
Jamie Robertson
Anthony Jager
Vic Campbell
Zack Hayes
Ron Lund
Nathan Spencer

We expect commitments from many more pilots. We will also have the same great contest as last year and possibly some new ones as well. There will be night flying both Friday and Saturday night with demos by the big boys Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. A dinner is again plan for Saturday evening. And we would like to invite all the scale pilots to attend because we will have some special things plannned for the scale guys too. Vendors and Manufactures will be welcome as well."

On top of this, we will be having some good seminars this year.

Again, great looking site!!

I went there once about 7 years ago. Let me start by saying i've been to many heli flyn's and the src is by far the best in my opinion. I had a very good time and even picked up and old scale hirobo cobra which really made my weekend. I met quite a few people including Ron Lund which I still see and talk to almost every year at the may-day flyn in Sulphur Louisiana. If you can get away and go to the src, by all means get out and go!! You'll have a blast! Hell, I even joined IRCHA while there:)

Malves, sounds great!! Glad to hear you are comming to play!

evlfkrjohn, Thanks for the good/positive remark. Glad to hear you enjoyed last visit. You gonna try and make it this year?

Event time is comming up soon and everytime I check the list its getting larger and larger!! Remember, if any of you guys have any questions regarding our even, location, or what not, dont hesitate to ask if you wanna come. Terry, the promoter of our even and getting most of the pilots coming to our even, has had a nice thread going on Runryder also filled with good detail about the event.

Thanks guys,
Andrew
