hey,

how you doing?
I've got a small issue here people and i'm desperately seeking 'nirvana':

I'm desperately looking out for some help here.
I have a Blade CP pro that came with its standard 72Mhz TX. I am aware of its built in 3 in 1 unit but this is question.

I have a GY240 that i could use with this chopper..and it was no worries installing that. Now i would like to use my X9303 2.4 with its reciever to this heli. I need to use this for the following reasons:

a) I fly Mode1 but the Tx that comes in the package is Mode2
b) I have this TX. (Nothing else would suffice, as its a beautiful radio by itself.)

Please somebody help me with this. Please, Please and again Please.
(Oh yeah; this is kinda like one of those 9-1-1 emergency distress calls!!) :(

Thankyou somuch in advance.

Questions:

1) I have an extra Align 25 Amp ESC with BEC. Could i use this? (Do take note of the fact that I am not upgrading the motors for now as I dont have one extra in hand, so that means the stock brushed motor.)

2) I am using the 3-cell 800mAh Li-Po battery pack. Would I be able to proceed to do the usual setup with this?

And yes ofcourse the GY240, the R921 Module, a Programmable Tx and the stock servos(<--again, for now.)

Thanx a ton in advance.

Kieth.

Since it is a CP pro, the receiver is separate. Just remove it and install the receiver you want.

You can't use a brushless ESC with a brushed motor, so that one is a no.

Your align 25amp ESC would be overkill in that heli, even if you had a brushless motor. By the way, eflite DOES make the perfect brushless inrunner motor for that heli (which I use), but it'll set you back another $60. In either case, unless your cppro is really heavy, it won't pull more than 10 amps out of the battery, so your 800mAh batt is fine.

If you're totally ditching your 3in1 unit, you can get a GWS 580li brushed ESC to run the main motor (these are pretty light), but you'll need another one to turn the tail rotor, and without some tweaking the tail rotor will always be running.

In my CP pro, I use brushless but still wanted to keep the stock tail motor and stock gyro (my only other gyro is WAY too big), so I kept the 3in1 unit, replaced the reciever with an AR6000 I had laying around, and added an CC Thunderbird 9 ESC... oh, and a thunder power 1320mAh 3-cell battery. Little bastard is a rocket now, hehe.

I see you posted this question in the 'Electric Micro Helis' forum too, and here is my reply:

Sell it. Get a belt or shaft driven tail. That is the only way to guarantee your happiness. You get it all setup the motor starts to die and you wonder why it is acting all weird again.
