Friday @ IRCHA ... MAN what a day today was. Non-stop action all day culminating in noon demos that left me and thousands of others wanting more.... Everyone today that demo'd didn't leave anything at home. They all brought there A game. Team Aligns pilot LUKAS RIVA absolutely had the sickest demo. Altitude schmaltitude... This guy did everything with only about 1/2" of sky left between blades, and terra firma. Absolutely one the craziest demos flying his 700 N. The team Mikado bunch was just getting stupid with 4 logos in the air at once. Coordinated rainbows, and piro's having only inches between them was just awesome. Botos... What can I say ,class, grace, and bringin' the hammer when he came across with the N9, and bounced the beauty. Jason Bell (MY SO CAL BRO) absolutely bringin the pucker with down low CRACK ! Dominic Haigle, Bert Kamerer, Kyle Stacey, Curtis Youngblood, and his bro ITO, Bobby Watts, and Nick Maxwell, and many others... What can I say !! AWESOME !! Check out the photo flood and more stories to follow.... Colin Bell (my Canadian Bro... ) This guy rolls the ladies.... See Heli dudes pull chicks !!!

really nice :)
just an advice for the night flying pix try to hv the shutter open for longer duration... if u hv a dslr or dslr-like put the priority to the shutter and set the speed to 5~15 seconds (depending on the darkness and ur lense max apature ) and use a tripod ;)
i gonna end up with nice lights drawings :D

Thanks, Toro and I did mess with delayed shutter speeds, but... (and here's a BIG BUT) we had no tripod... so we couldn't pull off the cool "pictures". Next time I will have a tri-pod ready for the night flying!

Sit the camera on Toro's head - you'll be good to go :D You shoulda seen me trying to take night shots with a monopod, I was jamming it against any railing/lamp post/mailbox I could find to get a steady shot.

Frank is the man on the planes.
Sometimes I think he may be bionic.
Great pictures! Thanks for posting for those of us that couldn't be there.

Yea the heli got a little loose and swooped right over the pilot and spotter.
The spotter (Dad) was on top of it, and both ducked out of the way.
Also remember it was Ircha, the pilots were a good 100 yards in front of the crowd, so no one but the pilot and spotter were in danger. The kid recovered nicely and put on a heck of a demo.
I know the pressure of doing a demo in front of like 10,000 people must make your nerves a bit touchy!

I've seen some IMAC judges do the same thing... :D

I'm impressed with anyone who can get in front of a crowd like that and put on a smooth demo. (ad Ircha no less!!)
