I have a T-Rex 600. I love this Heli... it is so much better than my Raptor 30 which was my first real good helicopter. my first was a Century Hawk 30 but I crashed that while in my first day of forward flight and never rebuilt it because the Raptor 30 had just come out. I then bought a BladeCX to practice with because parts were available and inexpensive and somehow learned to actually fly that squirrelly little thing and do some loops and rolls with it too. Then I got the Raptor 30 which is still in good flying condition and then decided to get the T-Rex 600. The T-Rex 600 is so stable. I only have around 100 flights on it though.

i have two 600n's one flying 3d and one in a funkey hughes md 500e fuse. i know its a waste of a rex but its cheaper maintaining two of the same helis than one of each.

I am current building a Trex 600E 10s setup. I already have a few large helis that run on 10s so I figured that power setup would be the next logical choice......Ron

I have one... second heli ever and I flipped it 4th flight and rolled it 6 flight! I have flown a lot of giant scale gas 3D planes though.

My first heli was a shogun 400, 4 yrs ago which blew up on its 18th flight. Trail drive shaft sheared when doing vertical pirouettes. I swore to never get a heli until I found something reliable.

The T-rex 600 is it for me :)

I am looking at buying one because i already have a blade cx2, blade 400, and a t-rex 450sa. These helicopters are fun but they are too small and i want something bigger. How much is it about if you add up everything not including reciever or radio.

You can get into a Trex 600 with the stock setup, add servos, gyro and tail servo for about $900 not including the receiver and radio. That also does not include a charger for the lipo.......Ron

I just got one last week. Came ready to fly with 1 puffy looking, but charge holding battery, Astro charger and power supply, and a Futaba 9C Tx. $900. I've hovered it once so far and really like it! :D Can't wait to get it out some more after an Rx swap and a new 2.4G module for the 9C!

-Hampilot, you should look into Zippy LIPO's
I've heard their pretty decent and cost 1/2 of what thunder power packs do.
like.. $130 for a 5000mah 6s 20-30C

I have a stock 600 E with a DX 7 tx and AR7000 rx. I think my first upgrades will be a Scorpion motor and ESC. It'll have to wait till spring. With the windchill hitting -27 and 4 ft snow drifts this weekend, it may be a while before I fly. 600 is too big to fly inside a gym or hangar.

I've got me one of those too. Definately happy with it. I put some extras on it, torque tube, metal head pieces, canopy, paddles etc. etc. Running the stock motor, JR sevos & a 401 gyro.
Did I read correctly further back, some guys are running 8 cells & one is going to run 10! Holy cripe  I thought I was getting on the crazy train pondering putting a 4 cell on my 450. I would love to see a video of an 8 or 10cell 600 in motion.

I have a 600ESP with a Neu 1910H/1Y, CC85HV, BLS451 cyclic servos, running on unregulated 2S LiPo, Spartan gyro and BLS251 tail servo, and Spektrum AR7100 Rx. I use Radix main and tail blades, and QUK swash, tail blade holders, carbon tail pushrod and 3D boom-support clamps. I run 8S using several different batteries (I have another post talking about battery issues): Outrage 3700, Outrage 4200, and TP ProPower 3850.

I've got about 100 flights on it now, and really love the system.

I just finished a build of a 600 ESP. JR radio equipment DS8717's on the cyclic and a DS8900G on the tail. Using one of the Spektrum 7100 heli receivers that has built in power regulation for the gyro and tail servo (drops the voltage to 5.2v which is safe for the DS8900G).

For receiver power I have a 2s 2200mAh lipo pack running through a JR VR6010 regulator to drop the voltage to 6v with a maximum draw of 10 amps continuous (16 amps peak), more than enough for the receiver, servos, and gyro.

Gyro is a CSM SL720 that works great. I have used the CSM gyros for years now on my glow as well as my electric helicopters (X-cell 60's, X-cell 40's, TT Raptor 30's, Trex 450 se, Trex 450 se V2, and also a JR Voager E that sits on my shelf for now). CSM make a very compete line of gyros from the 180 series through the SL720. I also had a new Futaba GY520 I used in my Trex 250, it worked great and the Trex 250 is fun, but very small !

I carefull stored the supplied Align esc and regulators in my parts drawers (in the way back !) and use a castle Creations ICE100 esc for the motor. Still using the stock 650L motor for now, but soon to upgrade depending on my initial flight logs and data results. For motor batteries I have some of the Hyperion 35c packs 6s 5000mAh. I run a 6s set up on this helicopter. Initial flights were with the 15t pinion, but I am going to switch to a 14t. I run a head speed of about 2000-2100 rpm in my idle up settings, slightly lower for my normal setting (about 1870).

My 600 is a Nitro Sport. I wish I have more time flying it than the 2-3 times a month that I do.

This is my first new to me (used) 600. 6S, 30C, 85 amp esc, 1220kv 650L engine, 16t p, 188t m.Carbon everything. I've got a thread going on it in 't-rex 600e' could use a little help.
