Thought I would share a great power system for those of you who fly Trex 600E mechanics in your scale heli. I'm flying a Funkey Hughes 500E.

Here's the set up:
Neu 1907/1Y/H motor
10 tooth pinion
HV-85 ESC
FlightPower EVO 25 5000 ma batteries.

With this I'm dialed in at 1430 head speed in governor mode. Timer is set at 10 minutes! :D

Here's a recent data graph with a couple of full pitch climbouts:

Here are a few shots of the motor and installation:

OK, Here you go! I'm having a great time with this heli! My son flies 3D, and 3D is not my thing! I've really fallen head over heals for scale though. IRCHA this year has set the hook for sure. I'm already planning my next scale heli, it'll be an all out scale with documentation. I'm going to build a AS-350 using a Graupner fuselage and mechanics next.

Here's my 500E, it's a FunKey 500E. Purchased the unpainted version after searching the internet and finding the paint job I wanted. The only change I've got to make is to swap out the black N numbers for white ones. Someone at IRCHA took some pictures of me flying it and then interviewed me....still don't know who it was.

Nice looking 600 my friend, how easy was it to swap tail rotor over to the other side? Good idea os scale now I've seen the kit with a person, looks quite big, bet she flies lovely.

It's really easy. Take a tail boom and drill the alignment hole for the tail case all the way through on the other side. Flip the tail and relocate the tail servo. Change the control arms so that you keep the correct orientation of them (trailing edge or leading edge). Here are some pictures of my new servo mount and control rod.

It looks great with the 5 blade head! How are the flight characteristics with this new setup?

very nice.. what set-up did you end up with?... motor/gearing/stabilization etc. care to share?

Final set up is a Neu 1907/1Y/H, ICE 100 ESC, Helical gear with the 11 tooth pinion. Stabilization is the Skookum SK-360. I recently changed the servos for higher speed ones and I need to fly it some more and make a few more adjustments to the SK-360.
