Ok, so at IRCHA I got sucked into the Buy the GAUI Hurricane 425 for $50 deal.
So now I have a sweet Heli that only cost me "$50" that I need $400+ of gear for.
SO.. what do you guys suggest I fill this rig with?
My ears are open!

I thought they were advertising that in the videos that you shot, but I wasn't sure I was hearing that right...

okay sleepy... I've got you covered... you can run any standard sized servo in that, right? do you have any matching servos you could use? Pretty much any standard sized digitals should be fine, even something like the Spektrum DS 821 (thats what I had in my Hurricane 550). Your 425 is the same as the 550, except the shorter tail and blades. For the motor, you have several options from Gaui; any of the 550 motors could be used, but it comes down to what you want out of it. Do you want it hot and poppy, or tame and docile? you can get a 850, 1100, or 1300 kv motor froom Gaui for the 550. The hotter winds are 1500 watt motors, so anything similar with a 5mm shaft would be okay (like the Hyperion Z30-1100, z20 980, century 600). You will need two matching high discharge 3s LiPos; get some 45c cells and you won't look back ;) ... more later I gotta go, but start looking at hurri 550 power systems and we'll go from there.

I want a rig that I can make semi tame, but then when I get comfortable wring it out.
So I think a goodly amount of power will be just right.
:D
I'll eyeball the 550 motors per your suggestion.

Sleepy --
I fly one and have the GAUI 1300 KV, 1500 watt motor, hyperion servos, Hitec tail gyro and the GAUI FES system. This thing ROCKS ! ! I am a planker that is getting quickly converted to helis and this combo, (mainly that motor) are a potent combo - This is my first heli and won't be the last ! ! !GAUI is the up and coming thing ! ! !
Hope this helps --

Is the Gaui 425 available to the non-ircha attending public yet? I haven't seen it anywhere.
