Do you guys know a good place to buy MX 450 parts? Are they the same as the 400? I have one sitting in my fleet. I bought it on a whim from tower hobbies and they don't carry the 450 any longer. They do have the 400 parts though. Just wondering.

Yeah, Towers still carry the parts!

The 450 is eccpm (direct to swash) the 400 is mccpm (mechanical mix). The 450 has the bling, longer boom, belt and blades....

I have an XS, got it from a buddy. Had a Blade CP quite a while back, but ended up getting rid of it after fiddling around with it a bit.

Been flying on G4 for a little, and took the XS out for it's first 'real' flight, and mine as well. Did better than I thought. Came home in one piece. :D

About a week later I took it out and managed a loop and roll, then don't even know what I was doing but put it in hard. Almost back together for more flying.

Here's that first real chopper flight:

Blowing the dust off he joint. blow - bloww- cough.

Quick run down:
Still have the trusty MX, and the Hotrod TT-MT.

Next in line is the HDX, upgraded to V2 (140T spur) w/TR500 flybar and paddles and 6S power, attempted a go around with an ARK X-500, but had trouble getting parts support, it sat broke for a few months, frustrated moved all equipment to a TR500, currently waiting for parts to arrive for the X500 so it can be sold.

Next is the Century Hawk, A sweet bird at its stock level, had thoughts of upgrading the power plant to an OS .50, current niche is very high fuel prices at current day, current plan is to burn remaining fuel and place it for sale. So a sweet Bat Cave secret heli can take its place, A Compass 600E. I have most of the bits short of cyclic servos.

Next, purchased a TRex 700N took forever to get it, himed and hawed for a long time deciding what to do, end of heli season and high fuel prices, thought about making it an electric, more hawing, then the gasoline idea came along, still the current idea, will start the project soon. Power plant will be a Hanson 26cc. It will be insane once it is done.

I swore I would not but any more kits till the 700G was done, well after being enabled, I broke down and bought a TR250. My first budget build. It is a combo kit, with a twist  a gyro from HeliMax the HM-4000, have to see how well it does, running a Hitec HS-56. Purchased 4 G Force 1000ma 3S packs, I am also going to try some GF 2S2P 1600ma packs. Total for the project $405. Maiden will be later this week (3/7/2009).

If I sell the Hawk I will be losing a 550mm heli, but will be gaining a 600mm heli. Future plan is to have a Outrage 550. Lots to do, almost have every blade size avail. except a 300 size, maybe in 2010:jawdropper:
