Okay guys. Newbie here looking at a 90 size bird, as an upgrade from my 50. What are your thoughts on the JR G770 3D gyro? Pros? Cons?
Thanks!

I would not have another one, as far as the overall performance It will hold the tail, I never could get it to stop drifting in a flip or backwards flight, its not bad but just a bit of drift. Also the feel of the gyro is one of a loaded spring. It always felt like it was right on the edge of giving up, Its kind of hard to explain Just an odd feel. I would suggest a futaba 520 or 611 I l like my 611 alot better feels so much better and has a lot of adjustment. Just my 2 cents good luck, buy the way if you want a cheap used 770 my buddy wants rid of his and will make you a heck of a deal.

What about something like the Solid G from CY?

Dude if you can get a spartan I think you will really like it. It holds the tail great for all kinds of flying.

The 770 requires a perfect mechanical setup. If not it will drift. Once the set up is done, its the best out there IMO. When I first installed this gyro (in my 600n) it took me weeks to get it right. Then I started over and spent a couple more weeks trying to get it right. Once you learn how to set this gyro up its a very simple matter.
