I know a lot of people knock the blade 400, but I am loving mine.

I've been trying to fly helicopters for a rather short time now. I got into them to hang a camera off from it, and get video where I couldn't with my airplanes, in ways my airplanes wouldn't fly.

So far, even with my limited flying abilities, I am enjoying my results.

So, here is a few videos from the blade 400, currently with my home made camera mount. Presently flying with the Aiptek A-HD. (The photos show it holding my old Pentax W30)

That's awesome! I had no idea the Blade 400 could be used to do this!
NICE WORK!

It shows what can be done, you dont need to get large and expensive helis and equipment to enjoy simple AP stuff.

The Blade must have a bit of grunt to lift that camera:) I fitted a 'Flycam' to my Trex 450 and get some great shots with this.

The great thing with the Flycam is that you can slave it to a spare channel, so with a spare switch you can take a picture or record video footage when you want to while in flight. The lead even powers the camera which is handy, there is not much of a current drain either.

Oddly enough, I don't feel it dragging that much.

I am getting about 4-5 minute flight times.

And to top it off, I was flying on Align 315 mm blades. (I got them instead of the 325's by accident).

Now I just need to get better at flying steady (or spend the cha ching on a copilot type system)
