Coool... I get to make my first post on this site in a photo thread :D
This is my Trex 450 SA with inkjet-printed decals - I'll have to see if I can photo her upside-down this weekend, now that I have a chance of doing that without making her "less pretty" - heheehe :)

beautiful
how well does it fit?
There's not as much room in the Beam canopy as there is in the V2 canopy. It's a snug fit, The battery does touch the inside of the canopy. I removed part of the Beam canopy to get it to fit (see pictures).
I'm thinking next time I'll just make new mounting holes in the canopy about 1/2 inch back, That should give the battery a little more room.
brandonduley
09-08-2008, 10:07 AM
my buddy has a Beam and I tried to put it on my 450. I figured the best idea would be like you said to move the holes back about a 1/2", so you dont lose the batt space up front

Hehe... actually no... a man who isn't afraid to look totally gay is obviously confident and secure - and probably well-dressed too. Any woman who doesn't understand this is probably the kind you want to avoid.

Groovy dude :)
...but you're gonna want to move that gyro. In that spot it could possibly get a paddle strike during hard 3D, a crash, or even a hard landing. Some people like to put it under the boom, where you have it but on the underside. I don't like that because I can't see the LED... so I did it like this (see picture) - I also moved the ESC to the front - so, not where it is in the picture.

Yep I'm hearing you, but she has over a 1000 flights on her now, and all is well so far.....:)
One day when I do a major O'Haul I may move it, I was going to put it under the boom but the Trueblood S9650 CF mount stuffed that idea, I'm still using DMS1 AR6000 Rx when I upgrade that, I'll move it then..
