Any one have pictures of how they installed something like this? I am rebuilding a heli for a friend and he had a rear tail servo that the mount was destroyed so he bought a new one in the rebuild process. I found that the tail boom supports are in the way of the control rod from the rear servo mount.

The Maverick plate should mount the same as the stock one I would think. Hears some pictures of the tail mounted servo on my 50 Titan. Its the same frame that the 30 uses so it should setup the same. Hope this is some help.

on the raptor 30 the tail servo mounts in a housing in the front of the heli and has control rods running the length of the airframe. Looks like i need metal control rods with plastic supports then because what the hobby store sold my friend was a carbon fiber rod to make a control rod from then to run from the servo to the tail which is why we are having problems. Also I have the CF plate mounted on the wrong side of the crutch i see yours is mounted on the right side mine is on the left. thanks for the pictures that clears things up for me.

The tail mounted servo tray is a Titan feature. But its being sold as a Raptor 30 and 50 upgrade by some because they use the same frame. Not every one is a fan of the tail mounted servo on the Raptors though. The servo tends to get drenched with oil out on the tail if you spend a lot of time inverted. I have my servo case sealed with silicone to help prevent the oil from getting inside.

well the picture helped got the raptor tail servo mounted and aligned thanks for the picture. I hear what you are saying about the oil residue. This is not my heli and I am only getting started in heli's. I am rebuilding for a friend who has had his servo there for sometime. it does get oil on it. His muffler and exhaust diverter does help a little in that however. Plus my friend doesn't spend anytime inverted that helps also. he is a beginner pilot and is able to hover transition and such but not able yet to invert or any of the other aerobatic stuff. plus his servos need to be upgraded to get to that point. This last crash was actually a radio fault he got shot down and wasn't able to recover.
