Greetings from Florida, my daughter is at the Air Force Academy and I will be out there for the Long weekend coming up. Where do you fly? I might find some time on Thursday afternoon, as you know we are kept busy at parents weekend.

Hi, I fly in one of two spots. If your fermilar with the area off Martin Luther King Bypass/circle there is a small private field or I head out east and fly off South Power/Fontaine in a huge 2x2 mile field that is the future site of homes (years down the road)... I'm assuming you mean next Thursday depending on time might be able to do that. There are also TONS and TONS of parks around here and as long as it's not nitro your OK within city limits... I work like two blocks from the Academy and can always charge a few packs and bring the 450 with me for some lunch hour flying :)
*edit*
Just thought about Fox Run park if I remember right it's pretty close the academy and has some nice big open fields in it. I'll have to see :D

I will be staying at the Rampart which is the hotel at the Academy, arrive Thursday early afternoon, will try and find some time, I am sure the wife has the itinerary packed. I do not know C Springs that well but I can find it if I know where to go.

The Rampart is off the north entrance to the Academy.

Put a few packs through the 500 yesterday. Going to do the same when the wind dies down a bit this evening. I like my evening flights, so relaxing :)
On another note, i ordered a TP 610c, two outrage 6s 3000s metal main grips and a Hossx4 frame for my 450. Also produced a few 'solderless' 123 packs for myself using plexi tubes and a acryl block milled down to accept the tubes. Need to find some sort of vent for it though.

Flew two packs tonight to finish dialing in the 450 v2 tail on my 400 - working like a charm. Have gyro up to 83 and it's rock solid can't wait to get to the field to rip it up (FFF - sport flying - no 3d yet :D)

I did today but the esky gyro crapped out. Basically I saw it as an opportunity to practice piro's after that (I got better at them, mind you I still have training gear on the heli so I can land whilst spinning :p). And an excuse to buy a GY-240 off RCG :).

Hot as Hell today in Riverside Humid as well but I picked up five flights on the R50 and a couple flights on the 3W Yak.. I planned on staying until dark but the heat and humidity just won the battle.. Until Monday!

I flew this evening after supper. Drew a small gathering of neighbor kids. I had em corded off behind me a ways. Man it is way different with an audience, more stuff to worry about.

You bet! Great day off. Got out to the park about 8:00am. No wind, no clouds just perfect. Flew my EZ Glider Pro, MS Composit Unique, Hyperflea and of course the Trex 450. tried loops for the first time. After building up some courage I went for it. What a rush seeing the heli go vertical then inverted. Flew four packs tried did loops with all. Some looked great some kind of sideways backflips. It was a good day!
