That is too damn cool and I like his haircut too! My grandpa never broke any speed records but he did do the Iron Cross (standing on the seat of his 1932 Harley) as he went down the main street of Calisburg, Texas. Having Grandpas like that make you proud of your gene pool.

The funny thing is... all the guys/Tech/support are all about 20 years younger than the driver. Does that mean that he has bigger balls than the younger guys or he has better reflexes than those guys? Why is he the one driving?
When he got out, it looked like he just went for a test drive at a local car dealer. Cool as can be.

Ahhh, The secret is Kenny holds 40 land speed records and he has been doing this a long time. The owner of this and the previous cars he has driven are all invested in these monsters to the tune of millions. They dont want some young kid to push the car to hard in the early runs and hurt the car or even worse the driver. That record run was a simple tuning run. They were just getting numbers for the computer. That car never tached over 4100. I think the red line on that motor is 6600. Bottom line Kenny with all his years of experience can feel things that normal guys cant. I have seen him after a blower popped off a modified roadster we was driving. Most drivers ball up those narrow, short wheel based cars when they get hit by a belt at 260mph. Not Kenny, calm and cool said he felt it coming and was already braced and ready for it. You could see and hear him peddling the car before it went. He is just that a super talented, super cool old guy. Best part is watching Kenny step out of a car and wipe out a comb from his back pocket and make sure he is looking top shelf.. This will be Kenny's last car, I was talking with him last week and I think 2010 that car will see 400mph and after that he says he is going to dedicate more time to the S.C.A.T and give back a little..I should also say I have heard him tell me that for the last three cars he has driven. The car is ready for the salt in 10. I will update when it happens..

I found a pic of Kenny and that modified roadster powered by the mighty Keith Black.
