I was looking for an indoor micro heli, to play with this winter. Hope the mCX BNF fits the bill.

If they would put a combo together of the Blade 400 and the mCX BNF with a reasonable discount that would give me the push on the 400.
Even if EFlight doesnt do this combo, I hope my LHS will.

I'm liking the looks of this thing--just saw it last night on E-Flight's web site. I would bind with my DX6i that came with my blade 400. Anyone know what kind of flight times it's suppose to have?

I dont know about the flight times, but the extra batteries are 10.99 from a few sites I have seen lisitng it.
I will be ordering an extra battery so I can charge and fly at the same time.

Speaking of parts, there are a bunch of Glow In the Dark parts for the Blade mCX.
This little heli is going to be so much fun!

I heard in one of the videos that the flight time is 6-8 minutes--not bad.

I have noticed though with Horizon(E-flite) stuff the hobby shops usually get them in a while before they become available at HorizonHobby.com
So you might want to check you LHS!

I don't know how cheesy the transmitter is that comes with the RTF, but it's only $30 more to have that included...

yeah, I know that, but I would still rather have it all on one transmitter.
Congrats on winning the DX7 by the way!

$100 for a mini-CX? I don't know. I have a CX and have it on the block to sell right now to focus on my 400 when it gets here. Not sure the wife wants me flying around the house either. I showed her a vid of a CX doing the hall fly thing and she was cringing.......

Hey Edge, I just saw that Chief has really reduced the price of the Spektrum module only for Futaba transmitters. They have both the DM and MZ modules for $40. Maybe that would work for you...:Dhttp://www.chiefaircraft.com/cgi-bin/rcm/hazel.cgi/hzpi/u/HzSt0205NFJ01KZavn/hazel.cgi?action=serve&item=/Models/RadioControl/Spektrum/SpektrumModules.html#Futaba

My friend picked one up at a hobby shop yesterday and I got to fly it last night. His is very stable! I was able to land on everything I tried to land on. Flies faster backward then forward but I think forward flight can be made slightly faster overall with some adjustments. I see some enhancements in its future and I am not just talking their glow parts. He set his tranmitter down for what seemed like almost 1/2 a minute while it was in a hover. I will have to actually time that when I get mine. I got nothing that hovers that well. My Blade CX2 will be getting a lot less stick time when my mCX arrives. My first post. I'm not just a lurker any more.

It will hands off hover for a long time. It is also very durable, Ive bounced it off of everything. I dont think its heavy enough to hurt itself. Way more fun than a CX2 indoors. Ill try to get some video of it.

I have no Heli skillz, b ut I'm having a good time with mine. Found out today it'll stay rock steady while blowing hundreds of feet downwind. It also hides really well in tall grass. If it weren't for servo noises I'd have never seen it again...

Will not work for the mCX because Futaba outputs the channels in a different sequence than JR/Spektrum.

I got one and it flies great! Solid hands off hover and easy to control with my Dx6i. I tried to set it up with the Spectrum module on my Futaba 9C and couldn't get it to do anything more than twitch. The BNF version says it's supposed to work with "all" Sectrum modules, but I had no luck. I'm new to the 9C though, and maybe I'm just not setting it up correctly.

I picked up the BnF version earlier this week and it is a lot of fun. I just wish it would turn to the right as well as it does to the left. If any beginner comes and asks me about helis while flying my CP or 400 I am just going to tell them to go buy one of these. Ten times better than the POS CX2.

Got to fly a MCX this weekend! Actually, I got to fly it twice! That little thing is awsome. Shove rudder into it, and watch it spin like theres no tomorrow, and stop the exact second you let off the stick.
LOTS O FUN! Going to have to get me one ASAP!

Has anyone gotten the BNF version to work with a Futaba 9C w/spektrum module? Or should I just get the RTF version?
