Ha! I get the first post in Heli-Max....
I currently have an MX400 with Pro and Trex upgrades. I'm considering selling it though, and while flyable is basically in retirement right now.
Axe CP - definitely for sale
RotoFly - I might get back to playing around with it when some other RC projects are done.
and I did consider a Kinetic for a while, but various things pushed me to the Pantera, love that one.
I blame my Heli-Max ownership on a long history of ignorant youth embracing Tower....

You all should really take a look at the new Heli-Max 400. This comes with a Futaba 6 EX already installed (or receiver ready). Several were flying at the Jamboree last week. It is one sweet little machine, it has a very stable hover or will do all the 3D you want will no mods.

wow, I didn't realize they'd scaled up the axe to replace the MX400. I really wish they made the canopy more Kinetic like, less trex like. Seems a really weak move. Then again, the Axe CP left a bad taste in my mouth...

Actually, it is a completely new design. The canopy is pretty neat as all of the color and smoked windsheild is all molded in. Fan cooled out runner, HH gyro, ESC and Futaba 3114 servos all installed. I have three T-Rex's, including an SE, they are great machines but I truthfully like this one better.

Plus no more tail motor. When I first saw it, it looked too much like the AXE, but now that I really looked into it, its looking pretty nice :).

The new Axe is a step in a "original" direction, the original MX series was nothing more then a re-branded Ark X400 and X450, my MX-400 was the first mini size heli I built. As it sits now it has hundreds of upon hundreds of flights on it now (3yrs old now, I can't remember). Many heli builds later I still like the calm sedate nature of the MX, mine started out stock and I blinged it over time but even with the bling it's still a smooth flier.
Still yet to be known if I get a Axe or not, I have a Trex, Mini-T, MX-400, MS Hornet X3D , and a old Honeybee CP2. It really does look like a sweet deal but the timing is off for me to pick one up right now as I will be building a LA Heli Ricco and maybe a Logo 500 or LA Heli Sniper after that.
Keep the news flowing though , I would like to hear more about the new Axe 400.

I have a stock Axe CPv3 and a stock Axe CX Micro. Love 'em both and Hobbico's customer service is simply incredible. I also have the souped-up Blade CP I learned to fly with and a brand new Blade 400. Love those too.

Howdy, I mostly fly a frankenstiened trex. But I recently got a axe cpv3 and in my opinion its time to bury my old heli. This is one stable bird. Little snappy in the tail response but you can tune everything from your TX. I love it. Goin back outside now, hehe

Is that CPv3 not one fun little bird? I got to review one for RCGroups. I've only had a couple of small mishaps with it since then, it's so easy to fly. Basically, my problems stemmed from both of my stock battery packs, one original and one spare. They won't take a full charge anymore and I found out the hard way not long ago. I was only in the air for about a minute when it suddenly lost power, I lost control and I stuffed it in on grass. I don't think I had more than about 60 cycles on them.
Except for a few main rotor parts, one set of blades and a tail rotor, it otherwise remains 100% factory delivered. I'm waiting for three new 1000mAh li-pos from Hobby King. Can't beat those batteries or those prices.
Almost forgot: I had to resolder the Deans connector on the receiver. Those little wires coming off the receiver/ESC aren't the most robust for repeated connecting and disconnecting.
