Well, since I have not seen anyone interested in SJM here on this forum site, I just have to start one...:D
I hope, this will start some discussions about SJM machines here as well..;) I am not just talking about one specific model. Any one who is interested in SJM, please write something here...

I have been flying SJM since last May and have had collected 325, 400, and 180. It has been really fun to fly SJM considering, it costs less to fly and to manage repairs...

Please join me with this site to talk anything about SJM in general.

Welcome..

Tom

I'm in the process of deciding which 200 class heli to get; SJM, Gaui, or Trex 250. There is not a lot of talk about the SJM out there though. It definitely has the right price but I'd feel better about it if I've read some good reviews. Are there any satisfied (or dissatisfied) SJM 180 owners out there?

I am very satisfied with this machine. The price is great. 180er is now comming out with next generation of SJM215pro in the end of this month.

Tom

I would get the gaui. Its more refined. I have not seen anyone actually do hardcore 3d with an sjm180. If you think about it, the gaui 100 was V1, the gaui 200 was the v2 model and now theres a v3. So its be refined a lot.

SJM was just released and its already being revised. I guess all the early adopters were beta testers. I heard a bunch of problems with the head and tail on the SJM 180.

Trex 250 is pretty good but wait for a tail revision before getting one.

I like the gaui because it can use the same batteries we use on the lama and cx2 and those batteries are cheap.

I just went to RC-tek.com and for registered sjm-180 owners, they get to upgrade to the sjm-215. They are trying to make-up for the version 1 headaches I guess. I am also surprised that SJM-400 (which is the 1st CP heli I bought) is not being offered anymore? Discontinued model/replaced by SJM-325? I thought the 400CF-Pro was the most sleek of all the models. Don't own one anymore but I always visit their site just in case their is some sort of clearance and get a chance to get one again. Parts on the SJM's are a little harder to find but a few online stores carry them.

I'd like to see a SJM do this in a garage. :)
