I am not sure but can you switch that radio to PPM mode. If you can I think that it will solve your problem. I dont think it will work in PCM mode.

Might be able to find more help here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_337/tt.htm . It's a pretty active forum and you can find plenty of downloads also.

do you need a certin type of usb cable?

Yes. Aerofly uses a cable with a 'special' module built in and when purchasing you have to specify your brand of transmitter for the adapter cord. The module limits you from running the software with a third party cable in hopes of keeping you from copying the software. The program won't even run without that USB cable and Tx plugged in. I have a PCM10 and the only issue I had was switching from PCM to PPM, but that was already said.

The cord comes with the sim when you purchase it. Unless you have a bootleg copy, you should already have it with the software. But if you don't have the factory cord, that would explain why it doesn't work. http://www.aeroflypro.com/ Take a look at the picture here and see if yours looks the same. The module is under the black heat shrink 'bump' in the cable.

Well, I've heard of ways around those things but I don't know how you'd do it. The sim really is good if you could get it to work or do buy one. I've downloaded dozens of planes, helis, and sceneries.

Spend 20 bucks and get the ESky sim from nitroplanes. it's worth the cash. besides, it's a learning tool, not a game. You can justify the money because it WILL save you money in the long run.
Besides, pirates are the very reason you have to pay extra for the controller when most ppl who want a sim already have at least one controller.
